Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup sago (dried)
  • 1 cup milk (or milk alternative)
  • 2 tablespoons matcha powder
  • 3/4 cup evaporated milk
  • 1/4 cup condensed milk
  • 1 cup strawberries (washed and diced)
  • 1 cup coconut jelly

Instructions

  1. Cook the sago: Boil water in a medium saucepan, add sago, reduce heat and cook until mostly transparent (about 15 minutes). Remove from heat, cover, and let sit for another 10-15 minutes.
  2. Cool the sago: Strain and rinse under cold water to halt cooking. Set aside.
  3. Make matcha milk: Sift matcha into a heat-proof bowl, whisk with hot water until frothy. Add milk and stir until blended.
  4. Combine ingredients: In a large bowl, mix cooled sago with evaporated milk, condensed milk, matcha milk, diced strawberries, and coconut jelly.
  5. Serve immediately by spooning the mixture into individual cups.
